Charles Leslie Pattern was born in 1909 in Magdalen, Norfolk, the son of Joseph Charles Pattern and Miriam (née Barrows). He married Orame Lillian Jackson in 1945 and there are two known children. He died in 1967 in Manor Farm, Wiggenhall, St. Germans, Norfolk.

CAR WITHOUT LIGHTS.
Charles Leslie Pattern, farmer, Manor Farm, Wiggenhall St. Peter, was fined 10/- for permitting a motor-car to stand on the highway at North Runcton without lights on October 3.
P.C. Spencer stated that he was on duty in Rectory Lane, South Runcton, at 9 p.m. on Oct. 3 when he saw a motor-car standing on the grass verge. He spoke to Pattern who said that he thought he was clear of the road.
Defendant told the justices that he thought he did not need lights when his car was clear of the road.

The funeral took place at Magdalen parish church of Mr. Charles Leslie Pattern, of Manor Farm, Magdalen. The Rev. C. Greenland officiated, and the organist was Mrs. P. Gagen.
