Magdalen Parish Council
The chairman had spoken to cemetery superintendent Mike Smith. Two headstones, Jane Fox 1901 and Mirram Pattern 1915 on unconsecrated ground were unstable. The council is responsible if anyone gets hurt. The council could dig and lay them down at a cost of £50 each if the families cannot be found. The advice given on overgrown graves was that they should be left alone as they are the property of the deceased’s family. If the family of the two unstable graves cannot be found, a small advertisement would be placed in the paper.
