John Pattern (1799-1861)

John Pattern was born in 1799 in Walpole St Andrew, Norfolk, the son of John Pattern and Elizabeth (née Ingram). He married Mary Oldroyd in 1826 and Mary Burges in 1841, and there are two known children. He died in 1861 in Norfolk.

A labourer named Robert Burton, in the employ of Mr. Sales, of Walpole, had his arm broken last week. He was engaged with a young horse in the stable, which jammed him against the door, and caused the accident alluded to. The eldest child of Mr. John Pattern met with the like misfortune from the wheel of a small carriage, in which it was drawn, coming off. Under the superintendance of that able and skilful individual, Mr. Mason, son of the late celebrated bone-setter of Coningsby, they are rapidly regaining the use of their limbs.
