Susan Annette Pattern was born in 1959 in Long Sutton, Lincolnshire, the daughter of Roland Albert Pattern and Beryl Catherine (née Walsham). She married Neville Edwin Drawbridge in 1981 and there are two children. She died in 2020.

Three Spalding girls have entered a competition to find the Catering Princess of 1978/79. The girls all work at Spalding White Hart hotel and their pictures go forward to the area finals of the Trust House Forte organised competition. It is sponsored by the Hotel and Catering Benevolent Society. Pictured (from left) are Miss Susan Pattern (19), who works as second chef, Miss Lisa Allard (18) and Miss Mandy Crane (17), who are both receptionists. The grand final is to be held on December 5 at the Lyceum Ballroom in London. The winner will have to help promote the Benevolent Association and attend its fund raising activities.

Married at St Mary’s Church, Long Sutton, on Saturday were Mr Neville Edwin Drawbridge and Miss Susan Annette Pattern.
The bridegroom is the second son of Mr and Mrs F. E. Drawbridge, of 10 Tower Road, Friday Bridge, and the bride is the eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs R. A. Pattern, of 43 Delph Road, Long Sutton.
Given away by her father, the bride was attended by Miss Janette Pattern, bride’s sister; Miss Mary Cubley, bride’s friend and Miss Tammy Drawbridge, groom’s niece. Best man was Mr Simon Epie.
