Methodist Sunday School.
The anniversary was observed on Sunday, when the preacher was Mr. R P. Blatherwick, of Newark, who has taken these services for the last 30 years. He presented Bibles to two old scholars during the evening service — Ruby Slater and Elsie Beet. The scholars took a big part in an afternoon service, with Mr. G. A Pattern, of Yarmouth, in the chair. He is an evacuated schoolmaster, now residing at Flawborough, and said how pleased he was to see some Yarmouth scholars in the Granby Sunday school. A play was given by the scholars, entitled “In the home of Mary Mark,” written for the occasion by Sister Mary Hopewell. For the singing the children had been trained by Miss C. M. Hall, Sister Mary Hopewell and Miss Wilkinson, who presided at the organ.
