Research Notes

Harold and Mary may have adopted Harold John Vickers (born 28 May 1930 to a mother named Vickers). He is listed residing with them in the 1939 Register and appears to have become Harold John Pattern (died 7 Nov 2022 in Wales) whose death record gives a date of birth of 28 May 1930.

DONINGTΟΝ.

WEDDING.

A pretty wedding was solemnised at the Primitive Methodist Church on Wednesday, when the parties were Mr. Harold Pattern, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Pattern, until lately resident in Market Place, Donington, for many years, and Miss Mollie Stokes, the only daughter of Mrs. F. Garrard, of Quadring Road, Donington. The Rev. J. W. Fryer performed the ceremony. The bride looked charming in a brown marocain dress, with hat to match. The bridesmaid was Miss Mary Goodacre. Mr. Cecil Stokes (brother of the bride), was best man. The happy pair were the recipients of many useful presents. The future home of Mr. and Mrs. Pattern will be Market Place, Donington.
