George Pattern (1899-1969)

George Pattern was born in 1899 in Hull, Yorkshire (East Riding), the son of William Pattern and Charity (née Baker). He married Elsie Averil Goldsmith in 1922 and there are two known children. He died in 1969 in Farnham, Surrey.

Mr George Pattern, former Cottingham businessman and local government worker in the Haltemprice area, left £30,884 gross £30,671 net (duty £5,947).

Mr Pattern, of Byland, North Street, Kilsby, Northants, formerly lived at 21 Southwood Road, Cottingham, and was formerly secretary and director of Gemmell and Frow, iron founders, of Plane Street, Hull. He was a former chairman of Haltemprice UDC.

Mr Pattern left his property to his wife, Elsie, and daughters, Miss Freda Pattern, of 30 Boswell Road, Rugby, and Mrs Audrey Simpson, of 16 Burnt Hill Road, Farnham.
