Mary Payne Pattern (c.1828-1907)

Mary Payne Pattern was born c.1828 in Tydd St Giles, Cambridgeshire, the daughter of Robert Pattern and Mary (née Addlesey). She married Ezekiel Hotchkin in 1864 and William Harwood Bacon in 1875, and there is one known child. She died in 1907 in Lincolnshire.

Research Notes

In 1861, when she was working as a housekeeper, her son William was living with her widowed mother at Newtown, Cambs.

As with her paternal grandmother, “Payne” is also spelt “Pain” on some documents.
