MR R. W. PATTERN MARRIED IN BIRMINGHAM
Mr Robert Wilfred Pattern, only son of Mr and Mrs R. Pattern, of Calshot, Arundel Road, Worthing, was married at Holy Trinity Church, Handsworth, Birmingham, last Thursday, to Miss Cynthia Ann Cherrington, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs T. Cherrington, of Birmingham. The bridegroom was educated at Worthing High School and served in the Royal Air Force in France and the Middle East.
The bride wore a powder blue two-piece suit with a spray of red carnations, and a small navy velvet hat trimmed with pale blue veiling. Miss Brenda Pattern, the bridegroom’s sister, was bridesmaid. She wore a wine two-piece suit with a pale blue hat.
The bride was given away by her brother, Mr T. Cherrington. Mr W. McCathie, a friend of the bridegroom, was best man.
