Mr. G. E. Snare
A funeral service for Mr Gerald Edwin Snare, 22 Albert Street, Holbeach, was held at Holbeach Baptist Church on Saturday.
Mr Snare collapsed while walking his dog and was rushed to hospital but died shortly after his arrival. He was 78.
He was born in Brandon, Suffolk, and worked in his family’s market garden until he moved to Holbeach in 1959. He continued to work as a gardener until retirement in 1970.
A lifelong member of the Baptist Church, Mr Snare became a church deacon and Sunday School superintendent and was an active church worker until his death.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs G. Snare, his daughter, Mrs Janet Hart, and two grandchildren David and Carolyn.
