Mr S Pattern — Miss H Ambrose
Miss Helen Ambrose, first daughter of Mr and Mrs R Ambrose of Wheatsheaf Farm, Ravens Clough, Holbeach, and Mr Steven Pattern, second son of Mr and Mrs T Pattern of Gimmel Gate, Sutton Crosses, Long Sutton, were married at the Methodist chapel by the Rev H Jones. Mrs D Dring was organist.
Given away by her father, the bride wore a white gown in slipper satin featuring a bodice trimmed with pearls with puffed sleeves, the full skirt had embroidered inserts edged with rosebuds and the back fell into a cathedral train. Her short veil was held by a silk flower and pearl headdress. She carried a bouquet of lemon roses, lilies, freesias and gypsophila.
Bridesmaids were Lisa Ambrose (chief bridesmaid) and Zoe Collishaw. They wore emerald green full length dresses in slipper satin with short puffed sleeves with a large frill edging the bottom and lemon fresh flower combs in their hair. Zoe carried a pomander in similar flowers as the bride and Lisa carried a smaller version of the bride’s bouquet.
Page-boy Joseph Vickers wore a traditional artist suit in emerald and white.Best man was Mr Michael Pattern.
The bride is a care assistant at Nene Lodge, Sutton Bridge, and the bridegroom works for his father in the family haulage business. Their home is in Sutton Bridge.
